7.1. Wallet Holding and W-9 Requirement

When a user earns a referral tip through the TripTips platform, the funds will be deposited into their in-app wallet. However, users must complete and submit a valid IRS W-9 form and provide accurate bank account information before any funds can be withdrawn or transferred to their personal account.

7.2. 14-Day Compliance Window

Users have 14 calendar days from the time funds are received in their wallet to complete their W-9 form and link their bank account. During this time:
   •    The funds will be held in a locked state.
   •    Users will receive daily notifications and countdown reminders prompting them to take action.

7.3. Failure to Comply: Reversal and Deactivation

If the user fails to submit the required tax and bank information within 14 days:
   •    The referral funds will be automatically reversed back to the original business that issued the tip.
   •    The user’s TripTips account will be permanently deactivated, and they will forfeit any rights to past or future referral earnings.

7.4. Future Referral Activity from Deactivated Accounts

Once an account is deactivated for non-compliance:
   •    All referrals previously made by that user will be transferred to TripTips as the default referrer.
   •    The deactivated user will no longer be eligible to receive any future referral tips, even if their referrals continue to redeem offers on the platform.

7.5. No Holding or Custodial Responsibility

TripTips does not act as a custodian or holding company for unclaimed or unverified funds. All referral earnings must be claimed within the designated 14-day window. Any unclaimed funds are returned to the originating business and are not retained by TripTips under any circumstance.
